The EGL Youth Work Development Toolkit <\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Based on the European Charter on Local youth work<\/strong>, our toolkit provides a step-by-step guide to knowledge-based youth work development!<\/p>

Its primary function is to support organisations providing youth work, but it can also be used by, for example, young people or politicians to assess the youth work provided or to get material for discussions or advocacy.<\/p>

The first step in a development process is finding out where you are!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>The second step is deciding on where you want to be!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>This might sound simple, but quite often it is not!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The EGL Youth Work Development Toolkit takes you through a five-step process, supporting you in structuring your development efforts.\u00a0<\/p>

To run a process and have access to all features of the page and to save everything you do you must create an account. You own your own information, and EGL will only be able to see statistics on national level.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

You will find the five steps under each bullet point in the Charter.\u00a0\u00a0The first, preparatory, step is therefore to go through the Charter and decide on which bullet point(s) you want to work with. You can have your process related to only one, some or all of them, and you can run as many processes as you wish.\u00a0<\/p>

You find the charter, its five chapters and bullet points below. Each chapter has a short introductory film \u2013 listen to it before you take the next step.\u00a0<\/p>

You can then click on the various bullet points. Each bullet point has a short introductory text followed by questions to discuss in order to find out if this is something that you need to develop or not.\u00a0<\/p>

If you already know that this is something you will need to work on, you can save these discussions till you have started your process. They will show on your project page and here you can also take notes.\u00a0<\/p>

If you think that this is something you need to work on, click the \u201cAdd to development agenda\u201d button (only visible when logged in)<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span> You will find your development agenda on your personal page, from where you will start your development process(es).\u00a0<\/p>

When you have created an account, you can go to your personal page and start a process. First you name your process. Then you choose the bullet points you want to work with through<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>choosing them from your development agenda and\/or\u00a0<\/span>going to the various chapters and click on them<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Before starting your development process, it is also\u00a0<\/span>a good idea<\/span>\u00a0to look through the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Find support<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0page that you find at the bottom of the start page.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
